Meet the First Nursery Team

Our Staff Team is led by Nursery managers Allison Moffat and Kelly Graham, both of whom have been with First Nursery for over 15 years and bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Nursery. They are closely supported by owners mother and daughter, Marjorie Robson and Margot Smolenska. All core staff members are well qualified (plus any new trainees working towards their qualifications) with the range of qualifications reflecting the diverse experience within the team.

Managers Kelly and Allison have both undertaken the Froebel in practice course at Edinburgh University. Allison has completed certified Forest School training and leads our weekly Forest School visits. All staff are qualified to at least Level 3 Practitioner status, and undergo regular update training in First Aid, Child Protection, Food Hygiene and Infection Control, as well as taking part in our CPD programme which each year reflects the Nursery’s priorities: continuous improvement, nurture, life skills, and of primary importance, outdoor learning through contact with Nature.
